Product description

Turbinova turboset is based on a tubular turbine construction. Typical solutions utilize shaft based rotational moment transfer systems to transfer load from a turbine impeller to a generator. Such systems tend to carry mechanical losses. However, we can overcome potential problems because our turbine is integrated with a generator.

The lack of the shaft based rotational moment transfer system lets us simplify the turboset design and make it more compact, thus its failure frequency and susceptibility to vibration is attenuated. We avoid the necessity of a shaft and a shaft guide system usage. The rotational moment is transferred by a special external ring being an integrated part of the turbine impeller. This system is simple and durable, and unsusceptible to joints loosening, therefore requires no special service.

The Turbinova turboset generator utilizes permanent magnets technology (PMSG). Voltage amplitude and frequency stabilization is provided by power electronic converters. Their task is to tune all electrical parameters to meet the grid standards. This solution allows to handle the impeller's rotational speed variations.
